1. Recycled Materials with High Standards

We prioritize rPET (recycled polyester) and other recycled fibers in our fabrics.
rPET is derived from post-consumer plastic bottles and textile waste, helping to reduce dependence on virgin petroleum, conserve energy, and divert plastic from landfills and oceans.

All recycled materials we use are certified under the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) — an international certification ensuring recycled content, supply chain traceability, and responsible social and environmental practices.

Additionally, our fabrics meet the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification, guaranteeing that every component is free from harmful substances and safe for both humans and dogs.

By integrating certified recycled materials, we strive to lower our environmental footprint while maintaining durability, comfort, and performance.

2. Safer Water Repellency — Reducing Chemical Risks

Durable Water Repellent (DWR) coatings are essential to keep you and your dog dry and comfortable in wet conditions.
However, many traditional DWR finishes rely on PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) — long-lasting “forever chemicals” that persist in the environment.

At CANOVA8, we prioritize fluorine-free / PFAS-free (PFC-free) water-repellent finishes whenever possible to significantly reduce chemical impact.
In performance-critical applications where water resistance is essential, we selectively use low-fluorine alternatives only in limited quantities and with strict control — balancing performance with responsibility.

We continue to follow the progress of bio-based and fluorine-free DWR technologies to further minimize the use of fluorinated chemistries in the future.

3. Minimizing Waste Through Lifecycle Strategy

We continuously improve our products through testing, feedback, and innovation — from updated designs to enhanced fabrics and hardware.

To reduce waste, we’ve created the CANOVA8 Trade-In Program:
When a new version of the same product launches, customers can trade in their earlier model for an upgrade discount.
Returned items will be donated or responsibly recycled through our partnered organizations, extending their life and purpose.
